With only a few days left until Povaleč, the organizing team is on site, bars and stages are going up, and speakers big and small are blasting our Road to Povaleč 2025 playlist across the venue. We’re getting familiar with what might be the most stacked line-up Povaleč has ever seen, and we’d love to introduce you to the final wave of yet-to-be-announced bands. We’re going to go chronologically, so you can gear up for running around the venue trying to catch all the great performers.
Three nights isn’t enough time for slow starts, as the cursed rap poets 33 Movement will show on Thursday – along with the dense, rapid-fire verses of Pyraboyz. The Prague band Mi will bring the poetry of Smíchov pubs and the warmth of campfire rock’n’roll to Valeč. Towards the end of the first day, the duo Bratři will deliver live techno and EDM with drums and modular synths, and Omnion will close the C-stage – the musical project of multi-instrumentalist Tomáš Reindl, blending psychedelic electronics and live instruments.
What better way to underline the bizarreness of Czech pop rip-offs than to rip them off again and have a blast doing it? The musicologist Ladislav Bonita knows how. Dr. Latecock & Anselmo – a freestyle comedy rap show, like no other (thankfully?) awaits you at the Pubstage.
On Friday’s C-stage, the previously mentioned performers will be joined by your somber eyes (post-rock), Panoptikum (psychedelic garage from Brno), and Market, bringing infectious and truly one-of-a-kind energy. The A-stage will host the band All Mad Here, who channel reggae and Jamaican tradition, but with contemporary sound. The long-anticipated return of Moaan Exis (FR) brings industrial metal fused with aggressive electronics, unleashing pure, raw energy. Their music breaks down order and invites collective trance in waves of chaos – and you’ll see for yourself that these aren’t just empty promoter phrases.
Představy postavy offer warm and colourful psychedelic pop with jazz elements – perfect for pondering life or Friday night sins. Similarly, Jiný Metro, a duo of best friends performing as a five-piece band, serve up music that’s both playful and sentimental. Athena Chlebová, performing Saturday afternoon at the Pubstage, is one of the most exciting musical discoveries of recent times. Her fiery kinder rap draws on dnb and techno, her self-aware irony is entertaining while still carrying real depth. After Athena, Branko’s Bridge will take over with guitar-driven melodies and the kind of atmosphere you’d find in a Tarantino film. For something different, Indiga Muse is a project inspired by Slovak mythology with dark beats, fragility combined with heaviness and jazz.
And now – the end of the festival, in full force. This one is worth saving your energy for, even if it means tapping into you long/term reserves. Experimental rap duo P/\ST is theatre, motion, and full-blown hype. There are just two of them, but the energy they bring will make the whole stage feel full.
No rest though – right after, the A-stage hosts Space Love. Their dreamy visuals highlight a high-speed sound that blurs hyper-techno, punk EDM and trance. Rap is on the rise, and we’ve made sure the Povaleč program reflects that.
A strong rap lineup deserves a strong closer – and who better than the crown prince himself? Cringe Prince, whose critiques of modern society turn into playful improvisation, and whose melancholic verses explode into rapid-fire lyrical balladry. His music is seriously addictive – you’ll still hear it echoing in your ears on Sunday morning as you crawl out of your tent, and on your way home.
And with that, this year’s full music program has been revealed. We hope you find your favourites and are looking forward to the artists as much as we are. Now it’s time to get back to building, so that the festival grounds are ready for you by Thursday.
See you under the stage – we can’t wait!
Your Povaleč team.
